Ahmet Fuat Yalçın Speaks on World Intellectual Property Day

On April 26, World Intellectual Property Day, an event organized by the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office brought together innovative projects and patent processes with a wide audience. One of the notable speakers was Ahmet Fuat Yalçın, General Manager of Yalçın Enerji and founder of Solar Curtain. Known for his innovative initiatives and entrepreneurial vision, Yalçın delivered a comprehensive presentation about the “Curtain and Blind Enabling Energy Generation” patent and the Solar Curtain project. He detailed the journey of the project from a master’s thesis to the patenting process, through entrepreneurial steps, production, and achieving both domestic and international sales success.

In his speech, Ahmet Fuat Yalçın shared valuable insights with young entrepreneurs and innovation enthusiasts. He emphasized that, despite the challenges of obtaining patents, determination and perseverance could lead to success. Yalçın also highlighted the contributions of the Solar Curtain project to the energy sector and the entrepreneurial ecosystem. The event also featured presentations by Hasan Ayartürk on the “Electricity Generation System with Osmosis” invention and Dr. Emre Koç, a Mechanical Engineering Faculty Member at Başkent University, on “A Condenser Used in Energy Turbines.” The conference began with a keynote presentation by Prof. Dr. Tahsin Engin, a faculty member of Istanbul Technical University’s Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, titled “Innovation Based on Renewable Energy Technologies and Its Role in Economic Growth.” Ahmet Fuat Yalçın’s inspiring speech was met with great interest by the participants.
